BSDR Player (Bilateral Sounds Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an application that generates bilateral beeps. It is based on bilateral stimulation (a way of stimulating the brain one side at a time) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). These techniques can produce a direct effect on the way the brain processes or re-processes past emotional experiences. You can use this application to aid in the treatment of traumas, process upsetting situations, disturbing thoughts, improve future performance, or simply feel better. Studies done with patients undergoing EMDR while in CAT scans have shown physiological changes in the brain that lead to adaptive changes in thinking and emotional self-regulation.
"A study comparing the effectiveness of Prozac vs. EMDR showed that EMDR was more successful than Prozac in achieving substantial and sustained reductions in anxiety and depression."
- The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, January 2007

Like it a lot
Very nice EMDR player, does the job.
And you can controll all the variables.
Very nice
Very nice app, could you add background play, so I can play other songs at the same time this app is working. If you could add some processing modules for different traumas would be great. Thanks
How does this work?
How do you use this? Do you move your eyes at every beep?

Very serviceable app for bi-lateral auditory stimulation. In addition to EMDR, this app serves as a personal metronome for setting tones/tempi conducive to mental states ranging from relaxation/meditation to focused concentration. PROMPT SUPPORT! 5-Star-Rating for this app. When my BSDR Player recently froze, Mr. Krasnicki advised me to re-boot my iPhone and now the app works perfectly. Within the past week, I have recommended BSDR Player to 3 of my patients. Its versatility makes it superior to the competing NeuroTek device.
Great App - Helps My Insomnia
I really like this app. I have chronic insomnia, and the bilateral stimulation puts me to sleep. My only complaint is that the app keeps the iPod screen bright and drains the battery by the time I wake up in the morning. I wish this app would keep running even when the iPod is locked so it doesnt use as much of the battery.
